Hello. My name is Joanne Adams and I am the primary teacher, tutor and workbook author behind Happy Hedgehog Learning.

With over 20 years of experience in education, I have seen how easily children lose confidence and self-belief in their mathematical abilities. I also see how stressed and overwhelmed families sometimes feel about SATs and the 11+ entrance exams and how this pressure can impact a child’s ability to demonstrate what they are truly capable of.

Happy Hedgehog Learning (formerly Primary Tuition) is built on Joanne’s passion to make Maths accessible and engaging for all children. Following a survey amongst her pupils in 2024, the Happy Hedgehog was chosen to be the friendly face of our tuition service and a growing range of learning resources.
